He was smart enough to take her words with a pinch of salt, there was always the possibility that she wasn't telling the truth - or that she wasn't telling the whole truth - but she was still asking for his help, and he did count her as an almost-friend, so he was willing to listen to her request and take her words at face value - for now.
"Stark industries?" he repeated, glancing down at the cheque with a raised eyebrow "You have some friends of your own... so why do you need my help to go legitimate?"
It had to be something to do with Octavian, she'd never have brought up the politics otherwise, he was sure of it.
